Demonstrating the Future of Residential Living
DOM 24H Maribor, Slovenia
DOM 24H
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The transition towards sustainable living requires a new approach to residential design, where comfort, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and digital services operate as part of a connected ecosystem. Dom24H was developed as a pilot-demonstration project that brought together industry partners to explore and showcase innovative technologies for healthier, smarter, and more sustainable living.
The project served as a real-world demonstration environment where advanced solutions for smart homes, energy management, renewable energy integration, and electric mobility could be developed, validated, and experienced in everyday living scenarios.
Creating a Connected Home Experience
Robotina contributed the project's core digital technologies through its HIQ smart home platform, enabling residents to interact with their living environment through a unified user experience. Home functions, environmental controls, energy-related information, and connected devices are brought together within a single digital environment designed to simplify everyday living.
The solution integrates lighting, climate control, automation functions, and connected services into a coordinated residential environment. By connecting these systems, homeowners gain greater visibility into household operation while benefiting from improved comfort, convenience, and control.
Connecting Energy, Mobility and Sustainability
A central objective of Dom24H was to demonstrate how energy generation, consumption, and mobility can be managed as parts of a single residential ecosystem.
Robotina integrated photovoltaic generation, Home Energy Management System (HEMS) capabilities, energy-flow visualization, smart-home automation, and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure into a connected energy environment. Through intelligent coordination of energy assets, residents gain deeper insight into energy use and can make more efficient use of locally generated renewable energy.
Electric mobility forms an important component of the concept, with EV charging incorporated into the broader home-energy ecosystem. The project demonstrates how homes can coordinate comfort, renewable energy, household consumption, and mobility requirements within a unified management environment.
